What does a $1,000 lingerie set look like? Here is the @KarolinaZL “Eos” bra + brief, made in Norway, designed & sold exclusively for @JanesVanity.

Like most good luxury design, it’s difficult to see the details that make it special in a photo. Having had the opportunity to see this set in person, there are lots of little things that look “easy,” but come together in a cohesive design.
For example, zoom in on the lower right area on the brief in the photo above. You’re seeing the underside of a zigzag stitch used for the lace appliqué. Do you see how fine and narrow and tiny those stitches are? How closely they follow the scalloped edge of the lace? 🔍
Achieving a stitch that fine and that accurate takes incredible skill...and also many, many hours. Which is why you only appliqué work done this finely in luxury pieces.
Zooming in on the same place in this photo, you can see a zigzag stitch also used to attach that hand-dyed and perfectly color-matched trim. This is non-stretch lace, so this stitch not only allows the garment to accommodate the body, it keeps the fabric edges from fraying.
The brief has a silk bottom and back (better seen in these photos from @JanesVanity). That entire area is *all* silk, including the gusset inside. The silk is “bagged out” to hide the stitching on the front. Time-consuming + labor intensive...but a sign of high quality lingerie.
Coming back to the fabric, since that’s where this all began, look at the details on that re-embroidered Sophie Hallette Chantilly Lace. Multicolored threads, multicolored sequins, all done by hand. The edge of the lace itself is hand-trimmed too.
In the photos above as well as this one, you can also see the real freshwater pearls at the center of the bra and brief. A very small detail, easily missed, but that’s what a luxury garment is...attention to detail. Or at least it’s supposed to be. Otherwise, what is the point?
Oh and the little Swarovski Crystal detail on the side too! Cant forget that. *dreamy sigh*

It was a real treat to see these pieces in-person.
I also love the backstory of this set where Karolina basically met up with Emily and Jane (of Jane’s Vanity) in a European hotel room with a suitcase full of lace like some kind of lace smuggler. 😆
There is no more of this lace. There will never be another like this. It’s an instant heirloom...and its creation allowed artisans and makers of the highest order to create something beautiful. To create something lavish, sensuous, and joyous that gives pleasure just by existing.
I forgot! Here’s the bra being sewn at 4x speed:
