There are around 1.6 million Americans with Type 1 diabetes (we need insulin to survive). There are another 32.6 million people with Type 2 diabetes in America (most use some form of insulin to also survive).
From T1D alone they make $2.59 BILLION in NET profit per year from one of their many products. But this one is absolutely needed for millions of people the stay alive.
Insulin is not a luxury that makes life easier like Starbucks or Amazon. It is essential for millions of people to live another day. To see a company profit so much is inhumane. I don’t know how anyone could possible defend it.
