Over the summer Bethel College Threshers of KS & the NAIA revised their logos. They added new 'BC' & 2D threshing stone logos with wheat stalks. Only school with the Threshers nickname -since 1960. #WeAreThreshers
You may wonder what Threshers are. Threshing is the loosening of the edible part of grain from the straw, in this case, wheat. The roller-like stones were pulled over the wheat to thresh. Today it's done by combines & the stones are artifacts found in central Kansas.
Kansas may be the Sunflower State but they're leaders in wheat production. Too bad Wichita State Shockers & Bethel aren't huge rivals because their mascots compliment each other perfectly. #shockers #threshers
