We are called to love.
Part of that calling is to forgive, right?
It's "easier" to forgive someone who over-borrowed your stuff than forgive someone who stole it, right? What if you came to forgive the theft.

He's trying to prove to Jesus, that we don't have it in us to love our enemies. Jesus knows we do. So says, "Oh yeah? Watch this."

But Jesus already knows. He has faith in us. He just wants more of us to have faith in Him so we can join Him when this is over.
Those who fall for temptation may never make it to heaven. But when we reject evil & take up the cross Jesus smiles, knowing He'll have more company.

If you've overcome other temptations (insert your favs here), you can overcome the temptation of unforgiveness. It's His will.
If you think you don't have it in you to forgive, look to Jesus. He forgave FROM the cross after carrying it uphill, in front of his own mother.

Temptation comes in many forms. We each have our own private stock, and has lots of arrows in the quiver aimed at your soul.
Temptation to lie, cheat, steal, covet, idolize (the list goes on)...and yes, the temptation to be unforgiving.
That's the nuclear option.

So don't fall for the temptation. will tempt you until you fail by upping the ante.
Fight it by invoking Jesus' name.
