I've been aggressively unsubscribing from any emails lists that don't add value to my inbox.

Having unsubscribed from ~20-30 lists in the last 2 days, I can confidently say that most companies put 0 thought into their unsubscribe experience.

This is a mediocre experience. Literally a white page with a tiny success messages.
The worst ones tell you they'll take up to 10 business days to process.

Like, I can sign up and get started in under a minute but it takes 10 days to unsubscribe me from your email list??
Also, the UX is usually pretty terrible and confusing. It's often long lists of checkboxes—sometimes you have to check the checkbox in order to unsubscribe.

I'm always wondering does "checked" me subscribed or unsubscribed?
I'd love to see some examples of great unsubscribe experiences.

This feels like a missed opportunity for businesses—

Wouldn't you want your last impression with someone be a positive one?
If a entering the top of a marketing funnel is often like coming in through the front door of a glitzy mansion ...

unsubscribe is like exiting out through the back alley where the trash is kept.
Example of terrible UX. Do I check the box to unsubscribe? Or does selecting the box mean that I want to keep those? It's not intuitive at all.
