A thought at the start of my vacation:

Patriotism isn't performance art. You can wave flags until you turn (red, white and) blue, but that won't make you more of a patriot than anyone else.

Also, you can't be called a patriot when when you adhere to Russian stooges,...
Which makes YOU a Russian stooge.

Patriotism isn't about how many guns you own (or don't), or what political party you belong to (unless said party actively works to subvert democracy).

In America, patriotism is about striving for liberty and justice...
.. I said liberty and Justice, for all. You can't call yourself patriotic if you are a fascist; or you support the prison industrial complex; or you support business over labor; or one religion or race over another; or you would oppress women and girls.
We can't be patriots if we are satisfied with a working class that is impoverished by design.

It can be daunting being a real American patriot. We still haven't perfected our brand, but, we have to keep working on it, else we are doomed.
