SHORT THREAD!!!

We were told that before the Oyinbos came, our ancestors were barbaric, didn't wear clothes, and hopped trees like monkeys, unfortunately, many of us believed.
What we never bothered to ask is how people who didn't wear clothes were able to make sculptures of people with clothes on.
Similar artifacts like this from the Ancient Benin Kingdom is scattered across European museums. If it was worthless, it won't have been stolen during the 1897 'Punitive Expedition" of the Benin Kingdom by the British.
To destroy a people, all you have to do is convince them they came from nothing and watch them trudge behind, maybe forever.

This is one of the reasons why we prefer everything foreign.
As insignificant as this may sound, if you look deeply, you'd see that it's affecting us in every facet of our lives. Everything we use including toothpicks is imported.
A saying says, "It is useless to dwell in the past, but we can learn from the past, correct the present and better the future!"
