he couldn't have risked his son by going in Wano but this time his brother die someone of his own level in his own battle Oden said to Roger and Whitebeard that it's his own country matter he will handle it himself. He died his own battle a battle of his own wish
for protecting Wano and he died proudly because of it. Difference with Ace is his battle with Blackbeard was for Whitebeard sake and he had a chance to protect him. Whitebeard should not violate Oden wish. Plus there's a matter of global balance Whitebeard cared about it
he didn't want to do a war between a 2 Yonko that would cause causality .............. for nothing it was a pointless fight. Also there's a factor of Wano Kuni itself like yeah he went to Marineford but guy who run Marineford Redbitch Akainu himself said Wano had samurai forces
who he himself had no estimation of how strong they are now add beast pirates with them and boom how tf anyone beat that I think Whitebeard is aware he can't beat Kaido and fight will cause casualties and it was pointless fight it was for nothing
at least in Marineford he can protect his son in Wano he wasn't even aware Oden was dead until recently
