1/ "Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, And do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles; Or the LORD will see it and be displeased,
And turn His anger away from him." Proverbs 24:17-18

How does this reconcile w/ Rev 19:1-6 where we shout at the destruction of our enemies?
2/ The Proverb points to the heart. The celebration here of your enemy's destruction or ruin here reveals a hatred and unforgiveness in one's heart.

Matthew 18:23-35 points to an unforgiving Christian. The king finds out about the man's unforgiveness and is punished by him.
3/ Make no mistake, if you are a fellow believer in Christ and do not forgive your enemy, God will have to take out His scourge and chastise you. We are commanded to forgive our enemies even if they are not sorry for what they have done. We are to absorb their offense -1 Cor 13:5
4/ What is the difference with Revelation 19:1-6?

1. God destroys Babylon once and for all. He has passed judgment and Babylon the Satanic capital in opposition to God's capital will never be a stumbling block to humanity again.

2. God delivered His people from their enemies.
5/

3. God loves righteousness and justice and hates sin, so we should too. We should rejoice when God judges evil. We will celebrate the destruction of the wicked who have persecuted God's people since the Fall. We will rejoice that God will rightly cast them into Hell.
6/ My point is that because the believer loves righteousness they will celebrate when God punishes evil. Christ has come back and established His kingdom for 1000 years.

There is a righteous indignation to be had and these believers in their glorified bodies will exercise it...
7/...in the proper manner.

4. This leads to my next point. Note that the shout comes from heaven. These believers no longer have a sin nature so their is no malice in their celebration. They can exercise righteous indignation as the Lord does & celebrate God's perfect decisions.
8/

I could go on. The difference between Proverbs 24:17-18 and Rev 19 is malice.

I do not celebrate an enemies destruction on earth. I am saddened because they will feel God's wrath.

If my enemy doesn't die and they see my celebration then how am I showing them the...
9/...kindness of God.

The biggest reason is because of my sin nature. I could never rejoice in the proper manner.

To be honest, when one enemy dies another one arises. My sin nature will corrupt anything good. My new nature will not.

We should desire for our enemies to repent.
