I've not tweeted about this yet, but at @BritainThinks we published our latest version of the #BrexitDiaries on Monday (full report here: https://britainthinks.com/news/the-brexit-diaries-the-end-or-a-new-beginning-a-study-by-britainthinks)

Some thoughts on some of the most interesting things to come out of that below:
The public are nervous and confused about Brexit.

Half the public said last week they are worried there's been no announcement (including a third of Leave voters) and the number of Leave voters with no concerns has dropped 10 percentage points since February.
Whilst a deal being seen as a preferable option, two-thirds of the public think we will leave the EU without a deal.

However, despite that only a small minority say they regret how they voted. Just 13% of Leave voters and 5% of Remain voters say they regret their vote.
The public feel let down by the whole political class. They think politicians have lied to them, tried to block Brexit and have failed to prepare for it.

In our poll no UK political figures we tested were more likely to be seen to have had a +ve impact on Brexit than -ve.
The universal villain of Brexit is David Cameron, with both Leavers and Remainers sharing an overwhelmingly negative view of him. Both agree:

- He arrogantly assumed Leave wouldn't win
- Carelessly failed to properly prepare for it
- Negligently 'jumped ship' after he lost
Not far behind is Jeremy Corbyn, who impressively managed to disappoint both our Remainers and Leavers for opposite reasons.

For Leavers, he is the 'Arch-Remainer' and Brexit blocker in chief.
For Remainers, he is a secret Brexiteer who failed to campaign hard enough for Remain.
Of the current leaders, opinions of the PM appear to be firmly bedded in. He's viewed as the saviour of Brexit by Leavers and a cynical supporter of Brexit by Remainers.

Conversely, few of our participants knew about Starmer's stance on Brexit and assumed he wanted it that way.
There are signs that Johnson's claim of an 'oven-ready deal' in last year's GE may come back to bite him. 3-in-5 think he was lying about it in the GE last year and one of our participants described it as a "microwave meal that's warm on the outside and cold on the inside."
And to finish off... Here's a picture of me discussing this all on Sky News yesterday with @skynewssarah
