At what point are @SkyNews going to do a follow-up on this organisation? I'm all for a professional organisation that is dedicated to helping any group of vulnerable people, and I'm not a journalist, but it seems, to me, this org was founded just to get splashy headlines... 2/11

- Soonafter, they raised 170 to fly someone over to the UK, for a "therapy" weekend of "country walks, English pubs and movie going."

- Recently, a prominent gender critical man raised 30k in a weekend from the gender critical movement to help him in a private legal matter with a trans woman. At the same time, the Detrans Adv Network has a Patreon of 200 quid a month... 6/11
...So, it's inescapable that the gender critical movement either believes there are 100s of detransitioners needing their help and don't care enough to fund that, or they don't really believe there are 100s of people to help, and are funding this shell org appropriately? 7/11
Stop me when any of this sounds like a professional organisation that is any way capable of helping hundreds of people, when the "organisation" can't even help the founder?

In another tweet they said that they sometimes get obvious fake emails, with abuse in them, and that they have *no option* but to count these emails in their official numbers of detransitioners who have contacted them.

The journalism around trans issues has been generally woeful, at best, deeply ignorant, and at worst, maliciously misleading.
Surely, on this, some investigation should be done, and the record should be corrected, because it seems to me that the public has been misled? 11/11

P.S. What I am heartened by here, is that there are already of number of trans people in the replies who have offered to help her, with no judgement.
