'Mitra-Varuna' of Rig-Veda who become 'Mithra' for ancient Iranian was the 'Mithras' for Romans long before arrival of Christianity.

In the middle of the third Millennium BC, a branch of Vedic Aryans migrated to Ancient Iran after a dispute over coronation of lord Indra as the King of 'gods'. Those revolted were referred as Asura by vedic Aryans and same was accepted by migrating cousins.

Lord Mithra was elevated as Chief God by the ancients in Iran. Lord Mithra is born of a virgin known as Anahita and was worshipped along with Mitha. She is a goddess riding a lion and having a flower in one hand and barsome in another.

Lord Mithra was exclusively the Chief God of ancient Iran till the arrival of Zoroastrianism. Even under Zoroastrianism, lord Mithra is an Arbiter deity Between Ahur (Asur) Mazda and Ahriman.

The temple of Lord Mithra was place for worshiping of sacred Fire. Which was appropriated by Zoroastrians. However, till the Zoroastrian Temples are know as Dar-e-Mehr or Door to Mithra.

As the ancient Iranian were actually a branch of Aryan, thus, they called themselves as Aryan and called their land as Aron, Ir-estoon, Iron and finally as Iran. Persia is only a part of greater Iran.

It is interesting that Zoroastrian scriptures are written in ancient Sanskrit and known as 'Gaatha', whereas, we have Geeta as our scripture. Ahur Mazda is good god who is Asur Mazda and rivalry with his twin brother who is bad good known as Ahriman.

When Parthian dynasty came to power they deliberately injected Mithraism in European Empire as a psychological warfare particularly through their Pirate Navy based in Cilicia who had close relationship with aristocrat and intellectual elite of port cities of Roman Empire.

The Pirates who had skull and crossed bones as their Flag played a significant role in introducing the Persian mystery religion to the Roman known as Mithraism in Rome between 88-66 BC.

The Lord Mithra who is a Sun God become the religion of soldiers and Roman elites. This new Sun God, who is born of virgin had 12 disciples were worshipped in cave like temples known as Mithriam.

In the Mithriac Temples, the believers had to undergo seven stage of initiation. Which represent five visible planets and Sun and Moon. Mithra is depicted as Bull Slaying Savior God wearing a Phrygian Cap. Mithric temples will will hold community feast with Bread and Wine.

Gospels says when Jesus born three of the wise men visited from East. The pic of wise men from earlier church delicts wise men were wearing Phrygian Cap.

The Lord Mithra is born on 25th December and Gospels don't give us the date of Birth of Jesus. If Gospels are to believed than Jesus was born in spring not winter as 'census' was done in spring.

During 1st to 4th Century Mithraism was the main religion of Romans which can be ascertained as many as 400 plus of temple ruins are available in Europe. Mithraism was the religion of Roman Elites and Soldiers.

Its claimed that Christianity spread throughout the world after Constantine had a vision of Cross while defeating Maxcentius at Malvian bridge. However, the Arch of Constantine built to commemorate the victory don't have a single christian symbol and have pagan and 8 Magi statue.

Immediately after the death of Constantine, the next Cesar Julian the Apostate undone the christianity and reestablished Mithraism. All the major rituals of Christianity are Mithraic in nature.

The Evergreen Tree was also a symbol of worshipping the Lord Mithra as he is the God of light and Life. In Mihtraeum, the temple of Lord Mithra, the cummune with Bread and Wine was celebrated by followers.
