My opinions regarding subfandom names ( like nikitties, edens, etc ) : a long thread cuz I've seen enough

When is it okay?
• When you use it in a casual way ( eg: *subfandom name* are the funniest )
• when you are not trying to alienate other parts of our own fandom
• when you replace the name with " enha member bias " and it doesn't sound bad or alienating.

Why is it okay when used non mal1ciously :
Because context should matter. Blindly prohibiting something is t0xic and it's feeding to the stupid bandwagon cancel culture that this fandom already has an issue with

NOT okay to use
• When you use it as a us vs them card ( eg: only *fandom name* knows this )
• when you're talking about certain member's fancam streaming or things like that (eg. *fandom name* lets stream the fc and reach the goal )it sounds like you're alienating others

Why is it not okay to use :
Because it's not only alienating yourself but also alienating others. If seen from an outsider perspective, it is a great weaknesss and is just wrong. We're all engenes here and should work towards everyone appreciating all members regardless of bias

Just because it's individual fancam doesn't mean only biases are allowed to or informed about streaming it. Thinking like that is solo stan behaviour and is going to cause more issues in the future
With that being said, complete prohibition and jumping & going off on everyone who uses it regardless of the context is dumb. We as a fandom should learn when to take offence. Going off on a "you're wrong and here's why" rant without understanding the intent of a tweet is not it
As much as unity is required in this fandom , from what I've observed, respect for other's opinions even if it's different from your own is something we lack HEAVILY. in my personal opinion, as much as this issue is about unity, it's also about the latter
When you don't like someone's opinions, leave, or talk to them like a decent person. If you are going to jump at them, they are going to get defensive and a the situation gets messy.
Finding a middle ground is something we need to work on because not everything can be black or white all the time. Unity will also come to us once we start respecting and stop invalidating others and their opinions
At the end of the day, we're all here for ENHYPEN. as a 7. So i hope everyone uses their words and terms with that in mind and doesn't jump into offence or defence immediately. Unity can't just be achieved from banning .It takes time. It takes more and I'm sure we will get there
