My annual income from eToro is now approaching $2M/year.
I previously worked jobs for as low as $19k/year.
Think this is a story about how you can make money if you work hard?
No, I am NOT working as hard now, as I was when I was on $19k/year.

So why am I being rewarded with such a huge salary?
Because that's how capitalism is designed. The system does not reward WORK, or MERIT, it rewards CAPITAL.
I understood this from a young age, and was always keen on saving/investing as a result.

The system is inherently unfair.
The reason I'm pointing this out is to remind you all that the game is rigged, you need to play to win before we can change the game.

There are 2 key things that motivate me.
1. I am redirecting money from sitting in a bank, to investing in ESG vetted companies that make a positive impact on the world.
2. The vast majority of my copiers, are average people with average salaries.

You may find this view controversial, in that case I would urge you to further delve into what really gives anything value, more than that, what is really important in life?
Happiness?
Friends?
Family?
Art?
Freedom?

When you are poor, you do not have the luxury to really enjoy any of those things.
You don't have time for it, you sell it for money to survive.
Just as you sell your time for money, others buy time with theirs.

I however, believe that it is a fundamental human right, a basic freedom NOT to be forced to sell your time, competing with the rest of the world on a race to the lowest salary.
I believe in Universal Basic Income, and a world of co-operatives, where everyone gets a share.

The growth in retail investing means you CAN buy a stake in your company and share the benefits of it's growth.
You CAN use that power, to increase wages, environmental standards and caring.
And in a Democracy, we CAN vote for policies that help everyone, not just the top 1%.

This is why I do what I do, this is why I love eToro, who enable regular people, to build themselves a voice in the game.
Together, eventually, we can change it for the better.
Sorry for the rambling post, but this is why I do what I do.

Oh, and yes, I still plan on donating 10% of that salary a year to charity.
Still open to suggestions, I want them to be global charities, ideally those focused on long-term solutions to problems.
