Just walking out of work. 13.5 hours in the ER. There were A LOT of covid patients today. Next week, when I’m off, I’m going to reach out to the community to get them to buy pulse oximeters. I believe if patients come to the hospital sooner then they will have better outcomes!
13 people died from COVID in Yuma. That’s a lot. 163 are hospitalized. They include field workers & family, inmates, correctional officers, snowbirds and essential workers. One person I met today knew 5 people that died from COVID. Latinos remain disproportionately affected.
When the hospital does not have ICU beds for COVID19 patients they are transferred to other hospitals via the surge line. 6 critically ill patients requiring extremely high amounts of oxygen support with COVID19 were transferred out! #StayHome
