Finished Dougram

Despite being almost 75 episodes it rarely ever dragged, which I think attests to just how much the show takes into account when depicting its messages relating to colonisation and the necessity to fight in order to preserve a future for later generations
Crinn himself is a really good main character, and watching him along w/ everyone else in the FoTS form a strong bond over the course of the show was great. Though in general I liked almost everyone and rarely felt that someone didnt have anything to add to the very complicated-
and tumultuous universe that the staff were putting together. Only being further reflected in relationships on both a small and large scale constantly shifting. With characters like Lecoque-
one of the best love to hate antagonists I've seen, taking full advantage of this fact in order to pursue his self-interested ambitions. Forming and discarding political/financial alliances at his leisure with very little hesitation
The combat in the show never fails to keep you on edge, and its mostly cause it leans heavily on characters formulating strategies that can go wrong at virtually any moment. Meaning that failure or even victory can come at a very high cost depending on how things turn out
Even the politics happening in the background can be a deciding factor and when Crinn and the gang lose because of this it can be devastating as you see them become frustrated with what's dictated beyond their control
Honestly, the only thing that might have suffered due to dougram's long length is the visuals but the art style and character designs have a unique charm to them and adds alot of grit to the show. In other words, it didnt bother me much though may not be for everyone
So, with all that being said let me conclude this thread by simply saying that dougram fucking rules, beating out votoms for me in terms of ryosuke takahashi stuff (which I need to watch more of)

Very much reccomend you give it a shot if it remotely peaks your interest
