Govt of Canada online applications websites are their own special hell - especially in the north where the internet sucks. /1
The # of times where inputted data is lost due to poor internet connection is innumerable. /2
Doesn’t seem to matter if you hit the “save” button after every entry - this does not guarantee information is not lost. /3
Today was extra special. I’ve never had my account revoked before. I recreated accounts over and over again. Seems that certain Govt of Canada websites have been hacked. /4
This yoyo-ing of registration and revoking of account kept happening all day.

Then I finally got this message that the Govt of Canada has been experiencing hacks to certain webpages. /5
Many Govt of Canada online application webpages do not envision that more than one person may work on an application and/or that someone else may need access to review before you hit “submit”. /6
Even after you think you the application is completed and you hit “submit” you may receive this message. /7
I recall doing an online application a couple of years ago - trying to upload documents to attach to the Govt of Canada website right up until 11:59 pm.

Worse yet it was a hard deadline. Govt rep said there was no other way to apply e.g. send application by email. /8
A lot of Govt of Canada online applications won’t let you edit a submitted application - after the fact - even before the deadline. /9
