Then I tell them that there is really good carbon dioxide concentration data going back 800,000 years (2/?)

And that we humans have changed Almost every part of the environment, so it is not a stretch to think that we’ve changed the atmosphere too. (3/?)

Sometimes I will tell them about a fictional squirrel that came over on the mayflower.
That squirrel could’ve run across the beach, climbed up a tree, and made it all the way to the Mississippi river without touching the ground.
Point? We’ve changed our environment a lot

And most of the respected climate skeptics out there have seen the data over the past few decades and shifted their view.

They accept we are warming— but they say that there may be some benefits to global warming (New shipping channels, better agricultural yields, etc.)

ANYWAY you can make an honest argument about how and if we should tackle the problem. That is your prerogative. But having to argue the science getting a little old.
