SYNTHS. (thread)
1. Diva by @uheplugins. If I had to give them all up to keep one, this might be it. When this first came out, about a decade ago now, it blew everyone's socks off because it sounded so, dare I say, "analog". Still beats most others out today. https://u-he.com/products/diva/
2. Just as good as Diva, Repro by @uheplugins is a dedicated Prophet emulation. Nothing short of incredible. https://u-he.com/products/repro/
3. U-No-LX2 by TAL. The Roland Juno-60 is my favorite synth of all time, and this emulation gets it right. It's also super affordable. https://tal-software.com/products/tal-u-no-lx
4. Which is a good segue to the @Roland_US Cloud. Emulations of classic keyboards like the Juno-106 and Jupiter-8, and since they come from Roland themselves, they're legit. Essential if you like the Roland sound. https://www.rolandcloud.com/
5. I am a Moog aficionado, and own several hardware pieces. That being said, I constantly turn to The Legend by @SynapseAudio. One of the best Minimoog emulations to date. And there are quite a few! https://www.synapse-audio.com/thelegend.html
6. A Minimoog emulation that you never hear about is Monark by @NI_News. One of the few that has that authentic "growl" to my ears. https://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/synths/monark/
7. This leads me back to @ArturiaOfficial. Their Minimoog emulation was my introduction to soft synths, and while it really doesn't sound like the real thing, it is incredibly useful and still comes in handy today.
8. If you want to go all the way with it, get the V Collection (they're at version 8 at this point) by @ArturiaOfficial. A comprehensive set of about two dozen of incredible synth and keyboard emulations. https://www.arturia.com/products/analog-classics/v-collection/overview
9. You really owe it to yourself to get *everything* that @Xilslab puts out. One of my absolute favorite boutique virtual instrument makers. Their Poly-KB III, XILS-3000 and vocoders get especially heavy use over here. https://www.xils-lab.com/
10. Parallels by @SoftubeStudios is a great quirky synth that gives you something different than the obvious. Which is exactly what I like. https://www.softube.com/parallels
11. Gotta have some @KorgUSA in your arsenal. Their Collection has you covered and features great emulations of classics like MS-20 and Mono/Poly. https://www.korg.com/jp/products/software/korg_collection/
