This tweet right here says something about Myles Jack that is the complete opposite of what he conveyed to Jags media today https://twitter.com/genefrenette/status/1339659302794108929
Myles went on for over 5 minutes, spanning questions from multiple reporters, about how losses affect him, how bad he wants to win, how he tries to help teammates w their mindsets. He even said he felt like if the team gives up 40 points he feels like he personally gave up 40pts.
He expressed how that weighs on him and hurts him for days after losses. He was being genuine and open - and you could hear the passion in his voice about it. Hell you have probably seen it on the field throughout his career (KC game last yr?)
He was asked how he gets over losses & he said he is so mad after a loss he basically goes home and plays video games until his mind gets so lost in that he gets even more pissed, then he goes to sleep mad.
He went on to say he’s still mad on Monday, Tuesday, and gets over it with the next practice essentially.

Gene’s one dumb tweet, out of context, makes it seem like Myles doesn’t care. So, so bad from a writer IMO.
This is what’s been wrong with Jags media as a whole and why many of us, who are even TU subscribers, have been critical of their coverage over the years and especially the last few. Also why I always use my own small corner of this site to highlight the young talent on the beat.
Also: do you think players appreciate being covered in this way? Like imagine you go on for 5 minutes about how you hate to lose just to see this tweet.

No wonder he deleted his twitter. And no wonder players in the past have been so weary of our local media.
