All-ACC voting will happen this weekend, and as a service to all the folks who are open to using numbers outside of dumb things like tackles and total INTs, sharing some OL/DL/DB/LB and special teams data hereā¦ Letās vote smart this year!
Defensive line dataā¦
Defensive backs statsā¦ Michael Carter will be overlooked for the third year in a row, but alasā¦
Linebacker dataā¦ Iām a stats guy, of course, but hereās where they really failā¦ Thereās not a true STAT that shows how good Owusu-Koramoah is, but you watch an ND game and itās just obvious.
O-line statsā¦ Just vote for the whole Notre Dame line. Itās that good. (But hat tip to Will Putnam.)
And because we donāt want to forget about the special teams guysā¦ donāt just vote for the kicker with the most field goals or the punter with the highest avg. Thereās more to the job!
As always, Iāll post my ballot after I complete it. Still plenty of spots Iām unsure (RB, LBā¦) and also worth remember that not every player worthy of an all-conference nod can make it. For ex. Sam Howell, Trevor Lawrence and Ian Book would all be in my top 10 for Heisman.
