I don't actually think we're talking enough about how bad this is. Or connecting the dots between Trump failing to adequately staff important positions, then firing everyone and installing clueless yes-men with zero experience, and the extent of the Russian hacking efforts. https://twitter.com/NatashaBertrand/status/1339669287846506496
For those who haven't been following this story: Russia hacked a number of vital agencies' data, including:

- U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile
- The U.S. Treasury
- The Pentagon
- CDC
- State Department
- Justice Department
- DHS
- multiple utility & tech companies
We still don't know the full scope of the data they got, or how fully widespread it is. The hack started IN. MARCH. and our gov't. agencies only found out about it a week ago because an outside company alerted them to the breach.
For everyone who hasn't grasped why people are so upset with Trump handing out positions as favors, THIS IS WHY. This is what happens when you fire responsible, experienced government officials & replace them with boot-licking morons with no business running government agencies.
It's true governments engage in this sort of cold warfare spying on each other all the time. The difference is, we USUALLY have experienced, smart, capable government & intelligence officials in positions to catch it early or stop it before it begins. Now we don't.
