(1/n ) Going back to this again (because it's a great perspective) - there's something unspoken here that I think causes some of the tension. And happy to hear others thoughts on this. Going to paint some broad generalizations here that of course are not always true... https://twitter.com/LetItFlyBJ/status/1339597461430575108
(2/n) Those that contribute film-related content on twitter do so to try and explain/understand *what is going on behind the scenes* - what coaches are already know. I love that content (and follow many film analysts) because it gives me a peak behind the curtain.
(3/n) Those that make analytics content aren't trying to do that. Instead, we are looking for gaps - things coaches specifically *don't* seem to be doing well, like fourth-down decisions. And we often narrow our analyses to a few "uninteresting" subjects exactly for that reason.
(4/4) And that's what I think is lost in these discussions. If you're running a team both film and analytics are necessary, and everything @LetItFlyBJ said holds true. But on here there *are* often separate goals with the content which makes it interesting, but can cause tension.
