Interrupting my day to talk about a republican strategy that is always used, Dems fall for, and how we could reverse engineer it. It's called the Outrage machine. Here we go.
Liberal or moderate says something about Republicans that is less than "nice". Take the latest example of "f8ckers" for instance.
Right wing media picks it up, and begins to amplify. Never mind that their media stars have called for decapitations, yelled "you lie" or any of the one hundred thousand umpteenth things they've called people.. they are "shocked, shocked that you'd dare to call them a name"
Then they send the most pious to decry and denounce the "horrible thing said" that their people have already said, and this energizes their base of people. It also creates several op-eds and screeds about "civility" from their favorite moralists.
Wait, i meant to say immoralists. Anyway, the moralists decry bad words, ect, being holier than thou, because they use MORALITY AS A SHIELD. They hide behind fake morality while doing all sorts of immorality. Get the picture?
This kind of red herring gotcha not worth replying to BS is how most Right wing media operates, and they've mad a GRIP monetizing this scheme. Liberals fall for it because they get attacked on twitter. I should know, they've done it to me. SOOOOO. Here's a polite suggestion
Run the tables on these people. I mean, they have been doing the same damn thing since the Obama administration. They don't change the playbook. They are successful because they have a healthy food chain of you tube stars, bloggers , Television outlets and talking heads.
Turn it back on them. Every time they do something stupid, say something like "let's let them all have herd immunity"knowing full well people will die, RUN THAT ISH INTO THE GROUND. DONT STOP TALKING. MAKE IT THE WORST THING EVER. BECAUSE IT USUALLY IS
Stop getting punked by conservatives who have made a fortune repeating things that aren't even important and made into a mountain of Bullshit
Until Democrats, liberals, etc, learn how to use media and messaging more effectively, you will stay being owned by your lessers. Just saying. They can be beaten at this game if you are willing and able to turn the fire hose of it ON THEM.
