Been discussing the Canada-China thing a lot irl. Some thoughts

- Canada remains a strong ally to the US
- There are no Chinese troops invading the US at all, and certainly not from Canada.
- If you're worried about allies backstabbing the US then listen up:
- If you had no problems with Trump slamming allies while cozying up to dictators
- If you gladly accepted Trump's demands about countries paying their NATO dues without educating yourself
- If you think killing off an alliance like NATO is a good idea rather than improving it
- If you think that designating a close ally like Canada a national security threat so that it can be hit with tariffs is a good idea
- If you think a tagline of America First is a winner with allies

I can go on, but you get the idea.
You are showing a strange concern for the behavior of your allies after treating them like dirt. If this is something of concern, you should have spoken up when Trump was busy smashing the system of alliances that have been put in place at an immense cost in lives.
If you treat your allies like enemies, don't be surprised if they end up becoming your enemies.

It's a testimony to the robustness of America's alliances that those other countries haven't pulled further away in the face of mounting American authoritarianism.
You should have shown concern for how America's actions could turn its friends into enemies a long time ago instead of panicking over nonsense *that*isn't*happening*.

Demand a higher standard from our leaders and realize that despite its immense power, America cannot stand alone
