I put up a thread the other day to combat misinfo about a community that I'm part of and protective over.
It's distressing to see ambulance chasers latch onto an area that scores highly across multiple indexes of deprivation. It's an easy target.

No one that lives/works there is in denial about complex social issues driven by poverty & services that are inaccessible & not inclusive to the demographic of the population
No one is minimising the seriousness of allegations of CSE, if you hear/see something report it!

I use twitter for various reasons, it's a great vehicle for making connections, collabs & supporting others.
Digital engagement drove the success of Scotland becoming a world leader in Period Poverty it's a tool & resource for me.
Locking it offers me no benefit.

I'm not here for contentious/controversial debates with bampots.
Nor do I need to answer countless tweets/dms asking me to explain myself and provide evidence around subjects rooted in racist rhetoric.

I'm also not going to punch down about the intelligence of the people raging over the rumours.
There's a pattern/trend to the people who are immersed in believing that there's a cover up.
Many are carrying stress/pain of trauma & experience of generational poverty also.

They are easy targets for the racist agenda of the parasites who are claiming to be exposing corruption in the area.
It's disturbing to see folk who don't trust agencies /services through their own experience, be manipulated into supporting the latest events.

I'm not going to be posting much about this topic again, big dumplings will peter out and the community will keep on keeping on.

It's always a give away when those who claim to speak the "trooth" create profiles promoting themselves as public figures & men of the ppl then do the song and dance of "it's not about me"
FYI: Tagging Lewis Capaldi is always a red flag about someones thirst to be seen

Twitter has been a treat to return to now that I have set up blocks/filters.
Can't recommend doing this enough.
Life is too busy during this pandemic the be lost in content that doesn't bring you value or make you smile
