#BNAkids It's really tough to enter & get nowhere. Believe me, I understand, with many years of entering behind me.😬
Another rejection is hard to take BUT you never know how close you were. Only 2% of those who entered got to the LL.
What if you were in the top 5%? Or 20%?

#BNA This year your manuscript might not have been *quite* there but with reworking, it could be. Does it need a punchier, faster opening, more emotional engagement, a bigger hook? Time to be super critical & take the shears.
Or leave it a while. Have a think. Read your genre.

#BNA Read books about story-craft. Learn. Improve. Find critical readers, & critique groups to share material. Persistence is hugely important!
And I know lots of you feel like you've done ALL this as well. Maybe you haven't found the perfect story for YOU to tell.
