Donald Trump has set a historically low limit on the number of refugees the US can admit in 2021:

15,000.

But it’s not all about the ceiling. Stephen Miller & co. have quietly cut the US refugee admissions program to the bones.
We need answers, but the Administration is refusing to provide vital information about the current state of the refugee program. My letters to USCIS and the State Department have gone unanswered for a month and counting.
Thankfully, the Trump nightmare is nearly over. But we need this information to understand just how unprepared we are ramp up the refugee admissions program.

I know we can rebuild U.S. refugee resettlement and restore our global humanitarian leadership for good. Here's how:
Admit at LEAST 110,000 refugees a year.

Eliminate Trump’s ban on certain refugees.

Recommit resources for refugee processing at USCIS and State.

Re-open 16 global USCIS offices shuttered by Trump.

Expand remote refugee interviews for hard-to-access, highly vulnerable groups.
And, above all:

Listen to career professionals, refugees, and their advocates.
