I find very problematic when some forms of justice get dismissed or considered not relevant enough compared to the traditional retributive justice approach.
There are MILLIONS of Syrian victims, each of them have a different lived reality of how a violation has affected their lives leading to many different needs, priorities and perspectives of what justice is for them.
Imposing one single form of justice over others and saying that forms of justice such as reparative justice, restorative justice or transformative justice have no place in the Syrian context is very wrong and offensive towards victims who may have a different view from us.
