Conservatives really hate children for some reason.

Like a deep murderous loathing.

It's always struck me as weird.
I don't say this flippantly.

When conservatives want to exercise power or show dominance, they reflexively take it out on children first.

It's consistent over the years.

Both directly and indirectly.
It reminds me of that classic bully behavior.

If they experience distress, they find someone weaker to demonstrate power.

When they don't have an answer to a question, they attack the nearest kids
They wanted to show dominance on immigration, so they locked up babies

They wanted to show fiscal dominance so attacked children's health-care

They wanted to show dominance on guns so taunted and traumatized the Parkland Shooting survivors.
Tough on crime?

Zero tolerance in schools. Arrest 2nd graders. Lock children up for life.

The problems of rape and incest? Terrorize girls, deny them healthcare, safety, and choice, then publicly humiliate them.

No answers on climate change?

Yell at a high school girl.
Parenting is tough? Advocate for the right of parents and teachers to legally use violence against children.

Don't like protests? Indiscriminately launch rubber bullets and chemical weapons into child-filled crowds of families.
The Children's March in the Civil Rights Era was successful because conservatives could be counted upon to readily brutalize and arrest children (in this case, PARTICULARLY Black children)
Conservatives have spent the last five years stumbling all over themselves to explain why Black children murdered by police are no big deal

There's nothing sacred about childhood to them.

It's something to be exploited and resented
