Included in the NHS Digital release was a one-off data collection for June and Sept 2020. The first phase of the pandemic saw sharp reductions in numbers of people accessing long-term support. 3/4
The high death rate in care homes and the fear it has lead to surely plays a part in these trends. Regions where deaths have been greater have experienced the largest reductions. 4/4
