That being said, I’ve seen a lot of very dangerous misinformation floating around regarding the new COVID vaccines.

Please, I beg of you, do not blindly share things. Check their sources, determine if what is said is actually backed by science

Misinformation and ignorance are the biggest enemies of science and scientific advancement.
Not only that, but given the current conspiracy theories I’ve seen regarding COVID and the COVID vaccines, blatant misinformation could cost someone their life, perhaps someone you love!

Some of the conspiracy theories I’ve seen include, the RNA in the vaccine will rewrite your DNA.

That’s what the immune system is for. Once it recognizes a foreign entity it essentially processes it and stores the info so that if it ever shows up again, your body knows that it’s an invader and will attack it. This is what we call immunity.
Another conspiracy theory I’ve seen, and this one really takes the cake, is that the metals in this vaccine will turn you into a 5G antenna.

Also, I understand if you hesitant to get the vaccine, however I’ll end my thread with this:
The FDA is one of the strictest government agencies on the PLANET. They’re the reason real Kinder Eggs are banned in the US.
There were no corners cut in developing this vaccine.

1) The groundwork research for this vaccine has been performed over the last couple DECADES. Scientists did not just pull this out of thin air.
2) Scientists have been working their asses off running clinical trials which enrolled 30,000+ people to ensure this thing is safe

3) Never has their been an effort like this to get a vaccine to approval. What you are seeing is the result of what happens when science is properly funded and supported
And finally, as I mentioned, the FDA is crazy strict. They approved the vaccine because they thoroughly and rigorously reviewed the scientific evidence collected during development of the vaccine and have deemed it safe.
Please, again, check the sources on a post before sharing and ask questions if you are not sure.
