There are two of us who write 98% of the tweets on here, and we're both off from tomorrow until the new year.

Before we go, we wanted to leave you with *a final 2020 THREAD* about 2020, and us, and YOU...
Let's talk about twitter, first. You replied to us or tweeted questions or comments at us EXACTLY 1001 times in 2020 so far. Up until the time of this tweet. That's way more than previous years. Actually having conversations with you is something we value very much, so thank you.
We also talked to you on all sorts of other platforms too, not least Chat. In October there was one week where our Information Assistants spent more than 24 hours talking to you via Chat!

(Not you personally. Collective you. All of you...)
If you had a teaching session with any of us over Zoom or Collaborate, it was one of almost 200 we did. And if you saw one of our teaching videos in the VLE... well to be quite honest we have no idea how many videos we made for your modules but it was definitely absolutely loads.
Maybe you attended some Digital Wednesdays sessions. Or took part in #LibInspo. Or came to some of the Research Excellent Training Team sessions we ran. Or took part in the Digital Wellbeing MOOC. Or attended the Collaborative Tools event online.

We salute you.
If you used Book Takeaway at all this year, you were very much not alone in doing so...

In fact we sent out 2,500 Postal Loans.
We digitised and emailed over 2,000 items with Scan & Send.

Also, remember when our buildings were closed so we couldn't get to any of our books?
Well, during that period we bought 495 books online and just sent them to your homes directly, and asked you to get them back to us when you could.

(92% of those have come back! That's pretty good going. Thanks everyone.)
During that whole period of the first lockdown and then that ending and us finding new ways to deliver new services, @yorkunisu and @GSAYork were SO generous in giving us their time as we worked out how best to do it - including starring in our videos sometimes! Thank you!
So many of you - students, academics, researchers, everyone - had incredibly tricky times where as well as dealing with a sodding global pandemic you were also dealing with closed buildings and not always being able to access the resources you needed.
You were still patient and generous in your feedback and great at adhering to our social distancing policies and helping keep everyone safe, so thank you for all of that.

Also you drew pictures of the library for us; remember that? We loved that. https://twitter.com/i/events/1253233709794201602
During the lockdown we ordered 2,000 more print books, 2,400 ebooks, and created over 100 new reading lists.

In preparation for the Autumn Term bought 5,000 more books (a mixture of print and ebooks), created 150 more reading lists, sourced 700 items through interlending.
Over 100,000 extra e-resources were added to YorSearch during the first part of the pandemic too.

We wanted to highlight all of this because there are so many members of library staff who you never see, but they work so hard to make all this stuff happen.
Anyway, it's been REAL, Twitter. We're not joking when we say we genuinely love interacting with you all on here. Don't forget, vacation opening hours are here: https://www.york.ac.uk/library/news/2020/christmasandnewyearvacationlibraryopeninghours/

See you in 2021!
Wait wait, have we missed the zeitgeist with the whole #SpotifyWrapped pastiche thing?

May we present #LibraryWrapped...
