HAPPENING NOW: Fed judge sounds very skeptical on GOP suit in Augusta, GA on ballot procedures. Judge Randal Hall (GWB): 'I have real concerns about whether this court..should even entertain this action at this point…..Fraud concerns at this stage are all highly speculative.'
GA deputy AG Russell Willard says Republicans aren't being discriminated against by lack of dropboxes in some counties because GA doesn't have party registration. "Republican voters....We don't have those in Georgia. We have voters."
Sounds like Judge Hall will rule from the bench. Says he's going "address" his concerns after rebuttal arguments.
GOP challengers' lawyer, Patrick McSweeney: "This case is different because it doesn't create confusion it eliminates it."
Judge Hall is ruling from the bench. Throwing the case out on standing and perhaps other grounds.
Judge Hall also says suit is covered by #SCOTUS' Purcell doctrine. "We are not on the eve of an election. We are, as it relates to this particular election, we are closing in on half time."
