Putting a lot of effort and energy out into the world via content, communication, & connection but the value and compensation you're getting back is not even close to the value you emit out?

1. You're giving away too much for free
2. Not building a community of buyers

🧵
We all want community.

We all want to help people.

We all want acceptance.

We all want to connect with people.

We need all those things.

These are byproducts of a focused strategy to make a sustainable business in a digital world.

They're "subgoals" behind a main goal.
Too many focus on follower count, engagement numbers, views, likes, shares.

These are valid in a certain context.

But your main focus should be I need more customers and clients.

The things listed above are benchmarks when analyzing your data to say you're on the right track.
They don't necessarily mean they will immediately (if at all) equate to dollars and cents.

Many folk who I help and those who I'd love the opportunity to help, have a hard time separating the two when it comes to applying digital marketing or really marketing in general.
They push stuff out there and feel defeated when their competitor does something of "less value or effort" and it "blows up". They look at the numbers.

Question...

Did they pay to boost it?
Do they have a bigger team to push?

Are you comparing 🍎 to 🍏 in the right context?
Stop scrolling.

Pause.

Breathe.

And answer honestly...

Are you trying to grow your business or are you trying to look like you're a growing business?

I'll let you marinate on that a moment.

..

..

What's your answer?

One gets you both.

One focuses on the wrong thing.
I get it...

I get frustrated when everyone who gets to really know you and get a taste of your genius asks why aren't you at the level you want to be?

You're amazing.

I look amazing.

I don't feel amazing.

Feeling > Looking.

I want your business to FEEL good.

You get both.
I'm not just a marketer.

I'm done limiting myself of that scope.

I'm a strategist with a focus in marketing but a talent to connect the dots to get you from Point A to Point B and to help you grow.

I'm not cheap.

In order to get more money you have to solve bigger problems.
So what's it worth for you to get the very thing you want most out of your business?

When we achieve it, you will automatically look good too.

You will have more followers, an engaging community, and a sense of fulfillment.

How you feel will match how you want to look.
Many hire people who focus on cosmetic marketing hacks that only hit and cover the surface of what their company needs and therefore doesn't hold up.

Stop.

Hire people who can empower the inside to bring out a sustainable and radiant glow on the outside.

That's what I do.
Well Troy, I can hire people to do graphics, content, scheduling, etc at a fraction of what you charge...

But why do your eyes turn when you see a Tesla when you can easily buy an Oldsmobile to do the same function?

Price vs Value.

Strategy is the cornerstone of a business....
You spend so much money on "cosmetics" website, graphics, video, content, ads, social distribution, in your business and it looks amazing...

But without a strategy...

CTAs are weak.

But Troy I have followers!

That's right, you do.

Drive-by follow button pushers.

And 🤷‍♀️...
Without the right context and looking at your business through the right lens, you'll never be able to tackle the real problems stopping you from achieving the very success you want.

There are many brands and business with a fraction of the followers you have making more...
More followers DOES NOT mean more business.

Not of itself.

It can be a byproduct of more business.

So what do you need to focus on?

Focus on those revenue numbers vs if you lost 5% dropoff after a "viral tweet" wears off.

But many don't want to have these conversations.
They want marketers who can give them high impressions.

Which let's them know how many people drive past their billboard of an online profile.

Which is actually sad if X amount of people had the opportunity to engage but chose not too...

Maybe hide that metric for now 🙈
I don't know about you..

But I want to grow my business.

I NEED to grow my business.

Why?

To take care of my family.

To be put in a position to help others.

I can't help others if I'm not in a place to afford time allocated to work for free to advise others.
Too many freelancers, entrepreneurs, small businesses, and brands want to focus on changing the world too early.

Without proper capital, revenue, and business levels funding you, you can't do it.

We need to stop shunning "don't say you want money" because it "looks bad"

Nah...
When I work with individuals, a big problem we discover quicky is that they aren't charging enough for what they do. They are settling for anyone who will buy from them vs focusing on their who will buy from them at a price consistently which will fund they very left they want.
To achieve this, you need strategy.

Everything else...
-- graphics
-- videos
-- livestreams
-- social
-- email
-- website
-- ads

Derives from they strategy in a way that puts you in a better position of power to succeed and hit your goals vs looking good but not feeling good.
Are you feeling good in your business?

If you want to feel good you need to grow, you don't just want a following out right but one that is a byproduct of a growing business, and are ready to have the hard conversations..
