...to most of the GOP’s demands. Even if you’re personally doing fairly well, as a nation we’ve all been cheated, lied to, abused by the ruling class & the politicians & regulators whose main purpose is to maintain (and widen) the massive inequalities that define capitalism.
I don’t know how we get a political system where leaders in Congress and the White House have compassion for people. I think the current system will never deliver what people need, & decades of “individualism,” small-government, anti-socialist propaganda make it seem impossible.
Change can happen more rapidly in cities and states, but they don’t have the money the federal government has. Still, I hope that’s where a lot of activists are focused. Hold federal pols & agencies accountable while making real change locally. Congress will always fail us.
