1. NHS England - Reviewing the data form the latest Covid Publication issued on 12th December we discover the story that the Government Dashboard does not report.

2. This means that the surge that the Government claims requires Tiers and Lock-downs to be used to protect the NHS are NOT required based on the excuse used.

3. What does the data show: 1st August to 1st December
From the data it is clear that 56,000 cases reported as Admissions for Covid were patients that had already been admitted.
We also can estimate that 9,500 or so of these 56,000 were Asymptomatic Cases.

4. We also then know that of those 47,000 remaining many would not have required anything but general symptom relief of Covid and only 5-10% may have required direct intervention of Medical Specialists.
5. This means the reasons for Lock-downs, and use of Tiers 2 and 3 are at best based on PCR Cases ONLY. These are not people who are actually ill!

6. The data
7. As you can see the data shows the contradictions that are prevalent. The Government report thousands each day are admitted for Covid, but this is misleading. Many of those they claim are covid are re-admissions and planned admissions.
8. This means only 17,432 patients admitted since August 1st were unplanned pressures on the NHS, or 4.3K per month or 123 Covid Patients a day spread across all NHS England Hospitals over a four month average.

9. Staff absences during this time climbed but peaked at 40.8K or 40% of wave 1, and have now reduced to 30% of wave 1.
This means the NHS are in a far better place than wave 1 on beds, staff and patients.

10. The warnings about overload on the NHS during winter are potentially overblown, over egged and perhaps misleading.

11. The Government may have, potentially, used the Covid crisis to avoid negative headlines but in doing so have exposed more people to suffering, both financially and in health terms.
This is not a reasonable act & the Government change policy on Tiers NOW.
