I'm probably going to build for DGW19, and FH in BGW 18. But do I 1) Triple Captain or 2) Bench Boost in 19?
I thought I'd share the drafts I'm looking at and their merits. My current team is pictured below. Planning Cancelo -> Trent this GW, leaving me 5 FTs to prepare for 19.

If I plan to spend my Triple Captain in 19, I'm looking to build something like this team.
Transfers:
Watkins -> Antonio
KDB -> Mané
Lamptey -> Dallas
Bench Grealish, Dias, Bissouma and Forster.
Triple captain Salah.
xPts according to @fplreview's team planner (MD): 125.12

This is a nice and easy way to approach the DGW. I don't commit to too many transfers, and the ones I do make can be timed well. Means I won't get Son, but apart from that, I'll have a good team going forward.
I have two different drafts for the Bench Boost strategy, both of which could be altered additionally with more transfers (/hits).
First one looks like this.
Transfers:
Forster -> Meslier
Lamptey -> Dallas
Dias -> James
Watkins -> Antonio
xPts: 124.37

If I want to get Son and get a slightly better BB, I can do this instead, though it requires an additional transfer, in which case I'm more vulnerable to injuries.
Transfers:
Lamptey -> Dallas
KDB -> Son
Grealish -> Rashford
Watkins -> Antonio
Forster -> Meslier
xPTS 125.03

Worth noting the significance of the additional transfer spent in the latter draft. The first bench boost draft could get to 129 xPts if I spend a transfer on Bissouma -> Jones. On the flipside, this move doesn't improve my team going forward.
The TC plan is the least fussy plan, and generates the same amount of xPts. The problem with the BB is that you have to skew your team to take advantage of one particular gameweek. If I don't spend it now, however, I'll have this burden later (probably on my 2nd WC).
I'm currently leaning towards the TC plan, but luckily I can start by doing the transfers I'm set to do in either scenario:
Cancelo -> Trent this week, then either roll the FT or do Watkins -> Antonio.
What happens with Villa's postponed fixtures also makes a big difference.

This is a very team-specific exercise. I needed to get an overview for myself, and Twitter is a nice place to store my thoughts and drafts. Hopefully there is a tiny bit of value in it for you.
PS. The quoted xPts are simply good model projections, subject to massive variance.
