Since I’m well over 50 myself, maybe I can say this:

In my experience you don’t really get wiser as you get older. At all. In fact you have to work a lot harder to simply stand still and avoid getting behind the times. Because things change. Fast.
You have to get out of the mindset that you know better than younger people. On many topics it’s the other way round.

You can get educated on the latest thinking for free on Twitter, on race, gender, anything - just by following people and shutting the fuck up and listening.
As an older white person you’re probably used to “evaluating” information and having the final say so on what’s correct/accepted and what isn’t.

This leads to things like older white astros telling black astrologers where they’re going wrong on racism. 🤷‍♀️
I know you were radical in the 80s and fought for cis women to - have any fucking rights at all. But now you have to learn the next steps.
I say all this because I see young astrologers discussing how to approach us about these things and honestly we should not be part of the problem, we should be helping with it
I think the one thing older white astros can do, that makes the biggest difference is - know that you are not in a position to have an opinion on whether people with lived experience are right or not...
Listen to and be corrected by those who know better than you, whether you understand yet or not. BIPOC people know about racism. You don’t. Trans people know about trans issues. You don’t. Etc.
This way at least your mistakes can be quickly corrected
