What are the best examples out there of campaigning that has successfully achieved major shifts in values or behaviour?

Equal marriage campaigns are clearly the shining standout here, I guess. What else?

Update 2: just to add more context, *especially* interested in campaigns where there was high potential for them-and-us polarisation which was successfully defused (as with deep canvassing in equal marriage campaign, or the Radical Love campaign in Istanbul last year)
