Good morning. It's the first day of a better Brooklyn Democratic Party. After hours and hours of being told we couldn't see the data behind a suspicious vote yesterday, and showing vote by vocal vote our willingness to sit there all night to see it, they released the data.
We found the problem in 10 minutes. A District Leader had been assigned double the proxy votes she actually had.
Because of that, after a 13 hour meeting, we were able to change the rules that locked in power for the Party Boss since the 1950s. That lock is shattered.
After a year of breaking state laws, losing lawsuits about those laws, shady tactics to rig a meeting, and a revolting display of trying to keep secret a data problem that swung a critical vote, the only appropriate step for the current Party Boss @AMBichotte is to step down.
Ms.Bichotte, you've been trying to use nunchuk politics. It failed. It failed because it is unjust and unfair. It failed because you were facing a thousand people who care about the words like transparency that you tried to empty of meaning in your op-eds.
It failed because a Democrat using Republican tactics has no place at the head of any Democratic Party. Step down today.

And true blue BK Democrats? Just imagine what a functional, ethical, effective party in our borough could do. Really, imagine it, and tell us what you're thinking. Because we will make it happen :)
