Also, how can you be against "lived experience"? I mean, everyone has lived experience. Liz Truss has the lived experience of being a White woman in politics. Everyone has lived experience! How will the Tories take that away, stop people from living..! oh wait...
"aim to promote equality by handing people greater agency over their lives and making systems more transparent, rather than focusing on equality of outcome." Oh my how very convenient...yes let's not focus on equality of outcome 'cos those stats are bad!
You too can have "agency" to choose between limited options, on an unequal playing field, you can exercise your individuality along with everyone else forced into poverty by structural discrimination but hey, everyone can be Lord Sugar right, reach for the stars, lean in!
This way the Tories, as per usual, get to blame the stats showing actual outcomes (people made poor stay poor, areas made poor stay poor) as just nature, as human error, while they point to all their schemes & say well you should have taken the opportunities....
misleading everyone from the truth we know (from our lived experience, lol) which is that the opportunities are not distributed fairly & are not equally accessible! And the tools needed to access opportunities are not equally available!
We are all entered into the 100 metres, great, but some people don't have shoes, some people didn't have a bed to sleep in the night before the game, some people haven't had a proper meal for weeks, inexplicably some people's lane is all bumpy while others are clear track...
