The Mayor of Donegal, Fianna Fáil Cllr Rena Donaghey, has told the Donegal News that she wouldn't take the vaccine in the first instance. She says she'll "wait on watch"

Sinn Fein Cllr in Inishowen, Jack Murray, says he disagrees with the Mayor and will definitely be taking the vaccine” as soon as its available.

However he says her concerns are reflective of a lot of people he has been speaking to though

He says there’s clearly a need for a more effective public information campaign so more people can be reassured of its safety.

He does however ask anyone who has concerns about vaccines to take guidance from their doctor, rather than any politician.
