More than anything, I need y'all to learn the very important fact that love in and of itself is not always a positive emotion.
Have you ever been loved by a narcissist? By a violent person? By just an average BAD person?
The love is there. Trust me. They love.
That love is not healthy, happy or safe, but it is there, and it is real, and it can be "romantic."
Romantic does not mean healthy. Love is not synonymous with safe. Bad people can love. People can hurt loved ones. YOU can hurt a loved one. While loving them. It happens.
You kids have got to get outside of this Winnie the Pooh safety net of all love is good and beautiful and happy because that shit just ain't true.
I'm also not saying to desire or look for unhealthy love, but by dismissing it as "not real love" is actually dangerous for you and others. And dismissive of people's feelings.
Like I get that you black and white morality kiddos think that if you're a bad person you don't deserve to have feelings, but that kind of subjectivism is never on your side.
Bad people can and do feel. Trying to fit them all in the monster box will blind you and give you a false security. Trust me on this one: that NEVER works out.
