The ongoing leadership contest in every sphere is for power not purpose. Whoever wins will perform a variant of the same assault on the people that has always been and will always be until we find the purpose for this nation and the systems to achieve it.
The innovative “purpose” people exist and have always existed from one generation to another but the power people are adept at demonising and destroying them aided by the fixation of the people on the power tussle marathon olympiads, an effective, timeless distraction.
Keep an eye out for purpose people, they usually don’t shout this because no hero has ever woken up deciding to be a hero. Heroism happens on the path to self expression and is not a constant state of being. The constant state of being is the human state; flawed, changeable.
