I think people are too quick to jump on the team and Scott after last night. Football fans really are cut throat arnt they? I thought the game was crying out for TC but Iâm not going to say Scott got it wrong as Lemina came on and broke up lots of Brightonâs attacks.
There are other things people not mentioning before throwing this team under the bloody bus. BDR was absolutely shagged even just before HT. Although I didnât like it the AK sub was to suit a purpose of not losing - with the attacking threat Brighton have on left I can see why
RLC lost possession a fair bit last night and is underwhelming us supporters but...there are times he holds up ball and as shown he can hold a player tight to his back and spin them. Itâs something heâs done a lot and it nearly got us the winner. Pity he didnât slot to right side
As for the system I donât care what anyone says had we opened ourselves up Brighton undoubtedly would have scored. They nearly did anyway. Good team. That clean sheet is very valuable. After the progress and effort weâve put in I find it incredible people are being so harsh.
Scotty deserves some slack from a few experts on here. Hasnât he earnt the right to get on with his job without mass criticism of team every bloody time an hour before KO!? We nearly nicked the game. For a relegation candidate a solid foundation is what you try and build on.
Newcastle comes in 3 days, so with players struggling to keep up with intensity expect changes and if I were you I wouldnât expect fireworks. We need to win ideally but there is no way we are going to be able to go there and blow them away. Another ugly point or win at best.
Important to stay grounded and remember where we are and how far weâve come in just 2 months. We need forward reinforcements in January which will help make the difference between drawing and winning. Untill then picking up clean sheets the priority to get into rhythm and habit.
Finally a special mention to the fact it was 0-0 at home for first time in 9 years. This is largely down to the fact weve had some shocking defenders along the way. But no we have best defensive back line weâve had in years and people are still moaning
