Who wants to take a look at that gigantic Curse of Strahd box from @BeadleAndGrimms? #dnd
This thing is massive. It must weigh 20lbs. There's a tube shipping container, separate from the box itself. There is a lot of content here.
Maybe I'll wait till tomorrow morning. There is a lot of content to dig through. Tomorrow morning at 9AM et, I'll open it up for the first time with y'all. I just ran 5 hours of #dnd and I am ko'd. :)
It'll be on this same thread. I am excited to open it, I promise I have not looked at anything except the finger puppets.

Yes, there are adorable Strahd finger puppets in this thing.
Here’s a look at the contents.

This thing is massive. No joke. #dnd
The packaging is really evocative. It comes in two parts! A glossy box that must weigh about 20lbs., and a tube for the maps—this includes the entirety of Castle Ravenloft. Every area has a battlemap! 🧛‍♀️
Alright. Lets open this thing up. There is A LOT to dig through.
What’s in this folder? Every single @schley map! 19 of them. Printed in high quality glossy card stock. Wow. 🧛‍♀️
Also includes a handout with the castle’s area maps. 🧛‍♀️
Next? I almost hate to remove the shrink wrapping. 🤷🏻‍♂️
It includes an oversized Tarokka Deck. I included the WOTC one in the pics for comparison purposes. Not sure if ot includes the rules for Prophet’s Gambit that WOTC included in their deck. As you can see, they scaled up the cards nicely.
Wow. High quality encounter cards for all the enemies. Lore, art, statblock.... meant to sit over your DM Screen as you run the encounter. 61 of these. 😳🧛‍♀️
You quickly start to understand the premium price of these boxes.

Next, props!
Props! The holy symbol of Ravenkind and three coins, embossed with Strahd’s face. These are metal. And heavy. Heavy metal. Imagine giving your players that! Very cool.

Strahd gets his own encounter card to hang on the screen. Oversized (obviously). Printed in a high quality textured cardstock.

Not sure how to describe it, it feels like it has a special coating on it or something.

One critique—top of the stat block is a bit hard to read.
DM Screen is in —portrait—mode. They really want you to hide your secrets. It is specific to this adventure, with tables for names, encounters, a map, etc.
As you can see in the pics, the screen is high quality glossy material. Not a cheap paper screen.
More props. This is like a theater production’s prop closet.
