Since Monday I got reports that Bengalis are happy with him joining BJP and even in Kolkata seems BJP’s vote share will increase now.His joining will help BJP in winning 12-16 seats where BJP was only marginally ahead. Now all those will be won easily.
He and his followers will further bolster BJP in Bengal by winning 8-12 seats which was likely to be won by TMC.He enjoys good image amongst Bengali Bhadralok. And if by chance Sourav Ganguly campaigns heavily in Kolkata than TMC will be finished.
He enjoys good following amongst Muslims also. Even though he won’t be able to transfer that vote bank to BJP but he can dent TMC’s vote bank by fielding some independent Muslim candidates. Even if they are able to secure 4-5% votes on 10-15 seats BJP will win.
The morale of party workers seems to be boosted by his pending entry. BJP faced the CM face crisis during Delhi elections when there was no credible face. But now Bengal CM can’t target BJP by saying that BJP lacks a face.
If Modiji enters in campaign mode from this month, BJP will march ahead. Modiji enjoys good reputation amongst Bongs. Plus there is 0 anti-incumbency against BJP in Bengal.BJP must ensure that TMC cadres joining BJP will stop their street fights.
And if anyone follows Bengali Politics they would be knowing that Suvendu is a powerful orator. Only Devendra Fadnavis, Modiji and Motabhai are better than him.Road ahead for BJP is not too easy but definitely not impossible. They will have to firefight internal fighting
also which will surely arise when Suvendu joins BJP.
