Good morning. Let me say something obvious (and therefore shocking), our scriptures (Veda, Ramayana) are not always to be taken literally
Hanuman couldnt possibly fly. Pushpak vimaan counldnt possibly exist. Bhagwan Krishna couldnt possibly lift mountain. Ravana couldnt possibly have 10 heads. Bhagwan Rama couldnt possibly have lived for thousands of years. Ganesha possibly couldnt have head of elephant #TruthBombs
Pandavas couldn't be born because of "boons" and probably were result of Niyog. Kauravas couldnt be "born" from a single mass. None of the divine weapons ever existed. Boons and curses most probably dont exist. #TruthBombs
People are angry with what I tweeted. The reason is they dont want Gods they want magicians, they dont want grace, they want magic. People want to believe in magic, because they are scared of reality and want "cheat code", well fellas no such cheat codes exist #TruthBombs
People have incorrect assumptions about authority. They consider authority as highest means of knowledge, it is not.
Primary means of knowledge is evidence, in absence of evidence comes inference, important to note inference cant contradict evidence, in absence of evidence as
as well as inference comes authority. Thus two conclusion
1 Authority has actually lesser priority than evidence and inference
2. Authority can not contradict evidence and inference.

Am I rejecting our Shastras ? Far from it. My argument is that where Shastras make claim about physical reality, those claims need to validated against evidence. And if those claims dont stand, they must be reinterpreted either as symbolism or literary device. #TruthBombs
Ultimately Hindus need to decide whether they care about truth or not. I want everyone to embrace truth, rejecting truth is Adharmic.
Why am I persisting with this?
"Literalists" are like ostriches who believe if they close their eyes to reality, reality will cease to be. Unfortunately that is not the case.
What is the reality?
Reality is we are living in age of reason and science, already christianity and
islam stands discredited because of fundamental incompatibility of their claims about divinity.
If we Hindus choose the path of "literalist", Hinduism will also be discredited because of its incongruency with reason.
