Basically at 7 his grandpa was killed, he was sent to commoners then found by Wang Lin who took him under so he can restore their dynasty.

At 8 he was send as a hostage to Northern Qi. At 9, he was asked to come back to take the throne away.

At 10, he was forced onto the throne as the emperor. In just 3 years, Wang Lin got defeated & he was brought to Northern Qi & titled Duke Liang there. Northern Qi told him they would help restore his dynasty but they soon fell & he along with them.

1st day of filming, which is why both Xie Yun and Ah Fei’s hair are slightly different. Xie Yun had more of a fringe, and Ah Fei didn’t have that 2 side fringes framing her face. I like the changes they did. Xie Yun looked so darn pretty here, maybe overshadowing Ah Fei a bit
